Amelie

Today I am home with a stomach bug. Blerg. I am a terrible sick person because I just really hate doing nothing. Unfortunately moving inspires upchucking, so I have been confined to the couch.

The best part about being stuck on the couch today is that I finally took the time to watch one of the most lovely movies I've seen in a long time. My dear friend Suzannah loaned Amelie to me MONTHS ago, and I have not watched it yet due to the fact that is French and requires one to read subtitles. When one makes jewelry in all her spare time, this results in not a lot of movie watching where actually reading the screen is necessary. :)

So today was the perfect day for Amelie. It was just as wonderful as Suz promised. I adored the entire movie from beginning to end.

Veteran's Day and Paisley

I listed a new lovely today. I made these earrings and fell in love with them. They combine two fabulous things--flowers and paisley. My flower child mother would be so proud. :) Visit these earrings here...

Today is Veteran's Day, so the thought of my soldier friends was heavy on my mind today. My friend Andrew is over in Iraq right now, and I worry about that kid! My entire family is looking forward to his return in May and wishing him safety and health in the upcoming months.

Be safe, buddy!

Too Early?

Is it too early to start mulling this...?

I think once November occurs, it is officially time for the occassional holiday decor. Hubby disagrees, but who's asking him anyway? Ha...

I got some fun little gold filled ear wires, silver chain, and some pretty little teardrop outlines in the mail today. Yippee! I have lots to do with the pretty things as soon as I get time to work with them!

Maybe more of this type of thing...
